About the Artist ~ Lanon Prigge

Lanon is a Spiritual Seeker and Creative Muse with a background in ethical embodiment practices. His vast collection of digital artworks in The LightCatcher Chronicles has been vested in iNous for use in the creation of themed Intentional email journeys and Print & Box card decks. A selection of these energy-activating artworks has also been made available as sources of contemplation, active imagination and creative illumination in collaborative projects between iNous and independent content creators.

Lanon started painting LightCatchers in 2019 when he began receiving spontaneous downloads in the form of vivid shapes and colours for several months. Through a daily contemplative practise of sculpting light with a digital stylus and tablet, Lanon began translating these impressions into artworks. LightCatchers embody the dynamic patterns of energy residing at the heart of Existence, and in their vibrancy activate our deepest intentions towards authentic expression and sovereign sense-making.

As a multifaceted artist, Lanon has always been inspired to find pathways for the authentic expression of personal and collective truths through multidisciplinary means. His prior experience in performing arts, shamanism, improvisation and spiritual reflection inform his current expression through LightCatchers.

Insights from the Artist

“There is no way any of us can predict where we will end up in life. And there are so many ways to tell the tale once you’ve arrived. How did I end up doing what I do? What is it exactly that I do?

It has been my life’s work to develop a unique language that could be used as a shamanic device, offering pathways for experiencing the everchanging vibrancy of the metascape.

LightCatchers are the culmination of this search. They stimulate through codes of colour and light, penetrating the subtextual language centres of subtle sensation and autonomous response. They serve as portals for sense-making, inviting us into dimensions of ourselves that lie hidden or untapped.

When brought together with integrity and through intuitive means, words and images become a powerful tool of sorcery. 

I see the pairing of my artworks with illuminations, intentions and affirmations as magic in the making.

Does energy transfer? Personal experience tells me ‘yes’. And not only in the tactile component of a deck of cards. A deck of cards is a distillation of an entire body of wisdom into something that can be handled on a daily basis. Each card stands alone and yet references the whole. The deck itself is like a book of fractals – a single narrative that can get told in many ways, a non-linear arrangement of existential variables.

When I sit down to paint, I have no idea what will arise; my artworks are purely intuitive, emerging through a state of mindful improvisation.

And so I remain curious about the creation of card decks in this same fashion. Decks that are in a sense improvised. Provoked or evoked into being. Spontaneous knowledge generation and curation. Channeling. Mediumship. Nous.”
