Who created The Game of Story ~ Telling Tales?

He was born sensitive. The nearby realms were nearer for him. He saw the untold truth and fabrication, and the systems of discord they produced. He screamed but was not heard. They cut out his vocal cords. But he learned to sing again. He christened his steps to school and back with tears until they blotted those too. So he began his journey into becoming a master of the arts. He learned how to act. With a voice he had to fashion from scarred vocal cords, he learned to sing. And he was heard. And his mask was a shield. And his voice was his sword. But they were not the voice nor the face with which he was born.

His mastery, the inevitable control borne of being the conscious creator of a new voice, gave forth sweet answers to the audience’s ear. They were destined to, for the audience’s ear was the object of his fashioning. He created a voice that wanted to be heard by the ‘other’. It was a voice he had made. Not his own. But he was rewarded for its song. They lifted him up and lent power to his sword and shield. Behind which he was all the while hiding.

He sang to the Pope in Rome.

His gifts favored arts and he walked a long journey that spanned music, acting, dance, physical theatre, film and television production, non-fiction writing, scriptwriting, directing and producing, curriculum development, children’s book and short story fiction writing, photography and visual art.

He completed a Journalism Honours degree in television and film production. He followed this with an honours degree in the dramatic arts, specializing in physical theatre, dance choreography, and scriptwriting. He later received a master’s degree for his exploration of the parallels between performance training and shamanic practices and completed his academic journey with a Ph.D. in philosophy, exploring ethics in embodiment practices in actor training and the use of self-enquiry and narrative tools to address concerns.

He produced, on his own or in collaboration, courses, processes, and products across a broad spectrum of tertiary education fields and for the corporate and public sectors with titles that include: Fluxing: The Ebb and Flow of Contact Improvisation, ACTivation: Playing Your Self, Existential Musing: The Art of Sovereign Sense-making, Self as Source, SourceworX: For Women Who Work, The Ama-Plus-Plus HIV Inversion Experience, Mantra’s in Motion: Move Your Body, Move Your World, Bioenergetic Healing of the Metascape, The LightCatcher Chronicles, Gardens of the Soul, The SoulSong Journey, and The Game of Story.

One day, he chose to hide no more. He put down his sword and shield. He surrendered to himself and set out on the path of unbecoming. He has yet to return.

Lanon Prigge - Life-Narrative Specialist and Muse

Narrative is central to Lanon’s life journey. The study of story itself has always been a centerpiece of his life, although it is only in recent years that he has been able to identify and articulate this as such. Over more than two decades, he has gathered highly specialized life narrative experience, with a deep archive of wisdom gleaned from formal academic studies, thousands of hours of one-to-one musing with individual clients, corporate consulting, and teaching and creating at both the private and tertiary levels.

Lanon is currently the resident intuitive artist and creative Muse at iNous. He is a co-creator of The SoulSong Journey and the originator and creator of The Game of Story. His avatars include El Anon and Shaman.

My Commitment

I am a storyteller, a guide, and a keeper of the veils. My purpose is to invite you to reclaim your own narrative, to live authentically and with a profound connection to your true self. Through my work, I offer pathways for reflection, empowerment, and transformation—guiding you to break free from old patterns and step boldly into the story you wish to live.

I weave stories—not only for myself but for those who seek clarity and courage. My tools—decks, prompts, and reflective practices—serve as invitations to pause, reconnect, and see your life through new, empowering lenses. In each offering, I create space for you to re-story your life, uncovering hidden truths and unlocking new possibilities.

This is my commitment: to continue crafting these sacred tools and to offer them as bridges to deeper understanding, healing, and creativity. I believe that there is a hunger for meaning in our fast-paced world—a yearning to slow down, reflect, and find one’s own truth. I am here to support you on that journey, offering both the tools and the space for your own story to emerge.

Together, we will explore the tales that shape us, reimagine those that hold us back, and create new stories that resonate with authenticity and purpose. This is my offering, my service, and my sacred work—to help the world re-story itself, one narrative at a time.
