iNous is an independent institute which was founded by an artistic research and graphic designer working in close collaboration with a visual artist. It is labeled an institute not because it has affiliation with any third-party funder, corporate or legal entity, but because its primary intention is to work in association and collaboration with other independent creators from around the world.
iNous makes use of the infrastructure provided by WordPress to build and maintain this website, as well as a hosting company for annual domain renewal and website hosting.
iNous is based in South Africa. This means that when you visit or interact with the iNous website your data may not be protected under the same policies or laws as the country from which you provide information.
You will not find any third-party advertising on this site. Any products or services promoted on iNous are the original creation of the founder and artist, most often working in close collaboration with other content creators whose names and details are always shared. Our products and services are not currently linked to any affiliate programs.
iNous uses the Burst Statistics plug-in to offer basic statistical analysis of how visitors use our website. This is considered a ‘privacy-friendly’ plugin that keeps all data from our visitors on our server, making it “fully compliant with privacy laws”. This means that anonymized information of the website pages that are visited, on what dates and at what times they are visited, and the duration of the visit, is represented in these statistics. We occasionally view these statistics for the purpose of getting an overall perspective of the site’s usage: we never use them to monitor or track individual IP addresses; nor do we use them to change our offerings.
